The academic programmes of the Department of Human Resource management consist of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), regular Master of Business administration (MBA), Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).
BBA Program
BBA in Human Resource management is our undergraduate program of 129 credits to be completed in four academic years divided into eight semesters. It is a terminal degree. Each semester is of 18 weeks long, of which 13 weeks are for class teaching, 1 week for the break, and 03 weeks for holding the semester final examination. Each course is of 100 marks. There are four in-course tests along with class performance, internship or research report. The final examination scripts are evaluated by two examiners. The students of BBA are exposed to various business-related course issues in order to enable themselves to be equipped with modern knowledge in business and information technology. The courses offered broadly to include such areas of learning as the basics of Business, Accounting, Management, Human Resource Management, Training and Development, Compliance Management, Contemporary Issues in HRM, Industrial Relations, Business and Society, Cost and Management Accounting, Managerial Economics, Mathematics for Business Decision, Introduction to Business, Business Communication, Compensation Management, Bank Management, Marketing, Project Management, Operations Management, Corporate Finance, Business Research, Auditing, and Assurance Services, Taxation Practices, Entrepreneurship Development, Computer in Business Application, etc.
MBA Program (Regular)
The regular MBA Program is a one-year full-time 42-credit professional program designed to meet the needs of the students who intend to develop their careers as executives, researchers, and teachers. Only 4-year BBA graduates of the Human Resource Management Department will be eligible to get admission into the regular MBA program. Foreign Students are also eligible to get admission in the MBA program under subject to the permission of the committee of foreign student’s admission cell.
M.Phil. and Ph.D. Program
Every year, students get admission into M.Phil. and Ph.D. program according to the rules of the university. Master Degree holders in Human Resource Management or business administration from any recognized educational institution may apply for admission, subject to fulfill the conditions of the Ordinance. The terms and conditions regarding admission, examination, and other matters relating to these degrees are prescribed by the regulations formulated by the Academic Council and the Syndicate of the Islamic University.
