Overview

Appointment of the Dean

There shall be a Dean of each Faculty who shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor for two years from amongst the Professors and Associate Professors.

Powers and Functions of the Dean

The Dean of each Faculty shall be executive officers of the Faculty who shall be responsible for due observance of the Statues, Ordinances and Regulations relating to the Faculty and he shall hold office until his successor enters upon the office.

The Dean shall issue Lecture lists of the University in the Department comprised in the Faculty and shall be responsible for the conduct of teaching therein.

The Dean shall have the right to be present and speak at any meeting of any committee of the Faculty, but shall not vote unless he is a member of the Committee.
