Welcome to the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Islamic University, Bangladesh.
As Chairman, I am delighted to introduce our multidisciplinary department, where the fields of engineering and medical sciences converge. Our program equips students with the skills to apply engineering principles to tackle complex problems in medical and biological sciences.
Since December 2017, we have been admitting undergraduate students under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Our website offers a comprehensive overview of our academic programs, ongoing research activities, state-of-the-art research facilities, and detailed profiles of our faculty members, highlighting their diverse research interests.
In our department, we conduct a wide range of research, including bio-imaging, medical image processing, biomaterials, biosensors, tissue culture, and applications of machine learning and deep learning. Many of our students have the opportunity to receive scholarships from abroad, reflecting our commitment to fostering skillful graduates. Our faculty members are both friendly and collaborative, dedicated to supporting student success.
