A MoU between Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh and Kafkas University, Kars, Turkey

A successful MoU between Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh and Kafkas University, Kars, Turkey has been signed as a part of joint research and collaboration activities. The signed copies of MoU were handed over to IU VC Professor Dr. Md. Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari (Rashid Askari) at his office on 01 February in 2020. Among others Professor Dr. M Shahinoor Rahman, Pro-VC of IU, Professor Dr. Md. Selim Toha, Treasurer of IU, S M Abdul Latif, Registrar in charge, IIER director Professor Dr. Md. Maher Ali, the director of International Affairs Division Professor Dr. Shahadat Azad, ACCE department Professor Dr. Md. Atiqur Rahman were also present on this special occasion. On behalf of IU, VC Professor Dr. Rashid Askari and on Kafkas University, Rector Husnu Kapu signed in the MoU. The VC of IU opined, "It will open a wider space to higher studies and research. It is truly a big deal for Islamic University on the way to internationalization and collaborative programmes." Professor Azad, the director of International Affairs Division, said, "This MoU will be effective from the date of signing and will remain effective for the next 5 years. Under this Mevlona Exchange Protocol students and academic staffs of 13 disciplines - English Language and Philological Science, Arabic Language and Philological Science, Business Management, Economics, Fine Arts, Political Science, Social Work, Mathematics, Conputer Science, Chemical Engineering, Food and Nutrition, Turisom and Management, Geography and Environmental Science - will get the benefit of this agreement. Every year more than 100 students and teachers will get the opportunity to take part in these collaborative programmes (Diploma, Undergraduate, Masters and PhD)".
