Online Innovative talk held at IU

IoT lab, dept. of EEE organized an online innovative talk with the help of ICT Cell and BdReN. The speaker presently working at University Florida, USA as a Post-doctoral Research Associate was a former student of the department of EEE, IU. He delivered his speech on “Wireless Power Transfer: Electro dynamically Coupled Receiver”. Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof. Dr. Md. Nozibul Haque together with Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbubar Rahman, Dr. Md. Shahjahan Ali, Prof. Dr. Md. Khalilur Rahman, Prof. Dr. Md. Monjarul Alam, Prof. Dr. Md. Jalal Uddin, Associate Prof. Md. Khairul Islam, and Assistant Prof. Md. Abdullah-Al-Mashud was present in that lecture. Among others who took part in that talk the names of Prof. Dr. Md Aktaruzzaman, Associate Prof. Dr. Md. Rabiul Haque from dept. of CSE, Associate Prof. Dr. Md. Shariful Islam of dept. of ICT, and Former Prof. of Economic Mohammad Mamun are worth mentioning. Forty (40) students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology are also associated with that two hour Lecture and Question-Answer session. Prof. Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir of IoT Research and Innovation Lab, dept. of EEE acted as an anchor of the Online Innovative talk. At the beginning of the lecture Prof. Dr. Humayun presented an overview of the activities of IoT innovation Lab. He added, “There are two PhD, two MPhil, and five Masters students working fulltime in this lab. Last few years they did several research works which have been published in International Journal of SCIE indexing and they are doing collaborative research with Republic of Korea and USA. To motivate the young students and to share the research ideas this talk was arranged." The speaker Dr. Halim Miah presented his current research findings before the participants and answered the questions very well. All the participants gave thanks to the present Authority of Islamic University for taking initiates to internationalize this university. They enjoyed the event and hoped such an initiative would continue in future. This talk was arranged at Virtual Class Room, Faculty of Science Buildings on 12 January 2020 (Sunday) at 9:10 AM.
